Our friends Scott and Carie came to visit again for a week in August.

Tuesday

Aug 4

They arrived Tuesday afternoon, so we walked down the Greenbelt to a local Mexican place called Pig Latin, then grabbed some ice cream at The Stil.

Wednesday

Aug 5

Wednesday started with tennis, then we went downtown to walk the Greenbelt from Ann Morrison Park. We stopped at The Ram for a huge late lunch, then visited the MK Nature Center. Had to swing by Barbacoa afterward for some table side guac and cold drinks, then rushed to Caci to barely catch happy hour. A fun day, and everyone was tired by the end of it.

Thursday

Aug 6

Thursday brought another morning of tennis, then we floated the river a bit. Another late lunch, this time at Bardenay. We met our friend Bryan for dinner at Crave. That's six restaurants in two and a half days, in case you lost count.

We also said goodbye (temporarily) to our friends, moving to Hilton Head.

Friday

August 7

Friday morning was road trip time. We headed east to Jackson, Wyoming, taking the scenic route with a stop for a bite in Hailey, then the Craters of the Moon welcome center. Kelley had booked a lovely Airbnb in Victor, Idaho, and it turned out to be right next door to Guidepost Brewing. The food was excellent, and a good band was playing that night. We danced until Ronnie got tired. Another day where everyone was wiped. Lots of fun.

Saturday

Aug 8

Saturday morning we drove to see the Tetons and hiked five miles to Taggart Lake. The smoke was minor, so the views of the peaks weren't quite clear, but at least the air quality was fine for breathing. Afterward we walked around Jackson and grabbed a light lunch before heading back to our lodging to check on Tilly.

Kelley's birthday was coming up soon, so they treated us to dinner at Blue Agave, and gave Kelley some lovely gifts. After dinner, we played a fun, but challenging escape room game. Another super fun day!
